HEC Award Scholarships to 1000 Students of Baluchistan: Jamali

Quetta, Higher Education Commission has decided to offer 1000 scholarships to the brilliant students of Baluchistan during the current year as told by Federal Minister for Science and Technology, Mir Changez Khan Jamali on Thursday. PCSIR and COMSAT have made arrangements for training programs of about 100 teachers and students of the province.
While talking with the Chief Secretary Baluchistan, Babar Yaqub Fateh Mohammad, Mr. Jamali further added that federal government was taking keen interest for the improvement in the science and technology sector in Baluchistan.
According to him, Federal minister for Information Technology Raja Pervez Ashraf has also declared to provide the structure of IT units in different schools on district level in Baluchistan. He also praised the efforts of the Baluchistan education minister who assured him to reserve land for the COMSAT institutes out of his personal fund.
CS Baluchistan assured federal minister of his goverrnment’s full cooperation for the improvement of education in the province. “Land required for establishment of COMSAT camps and other technical institutions in Jaffarabad and Quetta will be provided to the Ministry of Sciences and Technology,” he informed.
