Students of UMT Received 3rd Position in the Business Idea Competition 2012

Lahore, The team of UMT business plan competition with their plan of “Power Pack Pouch” of digital equipments was placed in 3rd position in the Business Plant Competition 2012.

The competition was arranged by FAST National University of Sciences and Technology Lahore Campus. The theme and criteria of the business was “E-Commerce, Energy and Agriculture”

Total 40 teams from 36 different universities participated the competition consisting of high level business and Engineering schools FAST, LUMS, LSE, IBA Karachi, IBA Punjab, UET Lahore, UCP, COMSATS, BNU, NCBA, Kinnaird College, Agriculture University of Faisalabad, Punjab University, University of Peshawar, Superior University and many others. Only 6 teams were allowed to participate in the final of the competition.

UMT students Shahzad Ali, Ahmed Adnan, Hashim, Ali Akram, Waqas Kamal, and CENTIN Project Coordinator Sundus Nazir Solweri got their award for UMT. Director UMT Dr. Hasan Sohaib Murad has expressed his pleasure to Rashid Hussain, Director CENTIN and the business plan competition team on their success. The victorious business project is a multipurpose pouch, assigned for charging digital equipments. The shape of the pouch is got ready with highly sensitive panel cells for charging the cell phone not only with sunlight but also florescent light.
