Three Day Book Fair Gets Underway at University of Peshawar

A three day book fair got underway at University of Peshawar under the patronage of Study Aid Foundation, comprising of more than fifty stalls and a collection of more than fifty thousand books offered at a discounted rate of 40-50% to the students.
The book fair was formally inaugurated by Vice Chancellor University of Peshawar Prof. Dr. Azmat Hayat Khan.
In his inaugural address the Vice Chancellor termed book fairs as a very good move toward promoting reading habits among the students. He said, it is a fact that books reading are on the constant decline, one of the many reasons for which is the introduction of new IT technologies and computers, however books still remains to be the only tool for providing comprehensive and in-depth knowledge, he added.
The Vice Chancellor appreciated the efforts of study aid foundation for arranging the book fair for the third consecutive time in three years. He extended his full cooperation to any such events in future..
