Actually the word plagiarism means when someone takes other work and submits that work for assessment by making it as your own. This happens when someone copies blocks of texts from other reference books and show as your own assignment and neglects the original source. In the country of Australia Plagiarism is supposed to be the most serious offence and there are many types of harsh penalties for these cases. Usually most of the universities and colleges fail those students from their units.
In this way the visa of the student is putted in jeopardy so the best thing is that when ever you wish to use work of someone else then always reference it and tell that how it relates to. This is the best way to get out of any penalty and is the best way to support your own work and also all those arguments that you are trying to make.
